CHAIN Combat Practice Broken Winchester 1897 Sheet

The July 2026 trench gun: fill the metric, stab, then decide if you even throw the special.

Winchester

The Broken Winchester 1897 is the weapon CHAIN Combat Practice still has to catch up to. Survival shipped it in late July 2026 with a map rework, a new metric bar, bayonet stabs, and a special QTE that looks like a trench trooper arguing with a chainsaw. The shop still labels it broken. That is the name, not a bug report. This sheet is the gym-facing version. Button-by-button clash work lives on Winchester QTE.

If your simulator build does not have the prompt yet, export to a private server after you read this. Do not pantomime a shotgun on the Machete dummy.

What it actually is

It is a melee Winchester with a knife on the barrel, not a long-range gun you ADS. Community clips show 240-plus damage nights when the special and the metric parries all land. It also eats combat stamina like a greedy relative. If you came from Machete+ endless blocks, the Winchester can feel similar — one swing, block, swing — until the bar is red and you cannot M1.

The HUD grows a metric under the cursor. Fill it. The third M1 / stab animation (not the charge) is the special parry window. Creators who look cracked are waiting for that stab, not mashing every swing. That parry can be repeated even after you already spent the cinematic special, and several players report it still works on Enraged if you are not staring at a red-glow eye.

Why the trainer matters

Public Survival is a teleporting Phase-2 lumberjack plus three teammates hugging your bayonet. You will not get twenty clean metrics in one night. CHAIN Practice Simulator’s own Roblox page advertised “Winchester + More Things” as the first half of an update. Until the dummy copies every prompt, the honest gym is: Machete parries, then a private server with the same FPS settings cap you use for X-Saw.

Kit rules that are not in the shop tooltip

  • Ping. Unstable routing makes the middle-of-the-window bayonet feel late. Tomahawk already taught this lesson above ~200 ms. Winchester is not kinder.
  • Invuln eye. When one eye on the mask glows red, CHAIN is invulnerable to cutscene moves, F-mashes, and specials. He sidesteps. Your Winchester QTE does not “whiff” — it never starts. Wait. See Enraged.
  • Stamina. Comments after the July drop already asked if the gun got nerfed because it “takes so much stamina now.” Treat it like a stamina engine plus a burst, not a spray. Combat stamina still applies.
  • Special versus metric parry. The cinematic QTE is the montage. The metric-stab is the night-winning loop. Learn both. Throw the cinematic when you have space, not when he just teleported behind you.

Rank

On the weapon tier list it sits B until the gym has a stable copy and you can fill the metric without eating three hits. Ceiling is higher than B. Fail cost and ping drama keep it out of S next to Machete+.

Pair it with a save (Combat Knife or 50w of X-Saw gas). The Winchester does not prevent executions. Pair it with Tomahawk only if you understand No Clash locks — do not stack two specials you cannot finish.

Practice order

  1. Ten minutes of Machete parries so the combat bar is real.
  2. Winchester metric fills until the stab M1 is a habit.
  3. One special QTE at 60 FPS — details on Winchester QTE.
  4. Stop. Export via private servers or wait for the trainer dummy.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is the Winchester a gun or a melee?

Melee with a bayonet and a metric bar. You are not laning with pellets.

Why does the shop say broken?

That is the item name from the July 2026 drop. It still swings.

Does it work on Enraged?

Metric parries can. Cinematic specials fail if the mask eye is red — see Enraged.

Should I buy it before X-Saw?

Only if you already parry on Machete and you can fill the metric. Otherwise stay on Machete.
