CHAIN Combat Practice Guides

Tutorials for the clashes that dump you in Survival, written for the solo trainer.

Guides Hub

This hub is the map of every how-to on the wiki. CHAIN Combat Practice exists because CHAIN’s melee clashes are a skill game hiding inside a horror loop. You can learn that skill in a one-player sandbox instead of burning eight-minute nights. Start at getting started if you have never opened the trainer. Everyone else should pick the pain they actually have.

Pick a guide by the death you just took

  • I do not know the binds. Controls — PC, mobile, Xbox, PlayStation, dodge on Q, block, specials.
  • The X-Saw clash laughs at me. X-Saw QTE — two steps, no spam on the first, FPS cap.
  • I run out of swing. Combat stamina — separate bar from sprint, blade trading, double-block notes.
  • I can clash in the gym and still die at night. How to beat CHAIN — Enraged, choke, private servers, when not to lunge.
  • The new shotgun laughs at me. Winchester QTE — metric fill, stab M1, cinematic special.
  • I keep getting grabbed. Choke dodge — Q before the hand, F if caught.
  • The mask grew an arm. Enraged — red-eye invuln, stuffed lunges, teleports.

Weapon deep-dives sit under weapons so this hub stays about how, not stats. Ranks sit on the tier list.

How these tutorials are built

Each guide answers a search that shows up under CHAIN clips: how to play, how to get the timing, how to complete a clash, how to beat the entity, how to protect a downed teammate with a special. We watched real videos — beginner combat, melee stamina, X-Saw walkthroughs, Tomahawk/Machete showcases, choke dodges — and wrote the steps so you can do them in CHAIN Practice Simulator without guessing YouTube chapters. One video per page, mid-article, click-to-load. No invented IDs.

The trainer is early access. RealJMBlox has already added upgraded Machete and is still promising more QTEs than QTEs. If a prompt in your client does not match a screenshot here, trust the client and check patch notes.

A sane first hour

  1. Launch the simulator. Server size is 1, so CHAIN (or the dummy) is always pathing at you. That is a feature.
  2. Cap FPS. Read FPS settings if clashes feel twice as fast as a 30K-view tutorial.
  3. Swing Machete until parries are boring.
  4. Run one special — Tomahawk if you panic-sprint, X-Saw if you want the save later.
  5. Only then queue Survival, preferably on a private server so randoms do not hug the chainsaw during your QTE.

That hour is also written as a clock on practice routine.

What we will not hide

Scripts exist. They are on the scripts hub. They will not make you good, and they can delete the account you wanted to flex Completionist on. Codes do not exist right now; the codes hub is honest about that. Official CHAIN is a recode with two core developers plus contributors — bugs are normal, and the practice map will always lag behind a Survival patch by some amount.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which guide should a brand-new player open?

Getting started, then controls. Skip X-Saw until parries feel automatic.

Do I need the original CHAIN game to use these guides?

The trainer is enough to learn clashes. Survival-specific shop prices and Enraged still need original CHAIN.

Why is there only one video per page?

One mid-article embed keeps the tutorial readable. Extra clips are linked as text when they teach a different weapon.

Are these official Suppression Studios docs?

No. This is a fan wiki. Confirm patches on official links.
